I’m Jewish. My wife identifies as African American. We have a beautiful daughter named Ivy. Many years ago, I saw a hummingbird fly in front of me in Lake Tahoe and it was feeding on a flower. Next to it was a bunch of bees. I thought how cool it was that they were there enjoying nature and then I saw the long beak of the hummingbird and started making up a story in my head about the long nose hummingbird (me) and the queen of the hive (my wife). Fast forward a lot of free time during Covid - I wrote the book and now it’s coming out. It’s called THE BIRD and THE BEE. And of course, there’s music attached.
